Life is on a door step

In Vietnam life is on the streets. When your front step is on the street, then life will meet you there. Often returning from being out and about to be greeted by people on our doorstep looking at us with the surprised expression which translated is ‘what are you doing here’. When we could be asking them the same thing. When I feel like interacting with life I only have to sit on our step for a few minutes and life comes up to meet me.
